Some more detail regarding Special General Meeting (3 Nov)

Under the constitution, each Parish Council member will be expected to take responsibility for one specific ministry area of the church, as well as being fully prepared for general discussion by reading briefing papers sent out for each meeting.

Listed below are a selection of the ministry areas concerned (this will also be printed on the nomination forms for Parish Council members):

worship; outreach; hospitality; families and youth; pastoral; property; finance; the Bays; administration; public communications.

Nominations for the Parish Council and the Elected Warden’s position will be received from members of the congregation by Rev Alan Cummins who will be conducting the service on 3rd November, up until the start of the meeting.  Nomination should be on the nomination form, signed by the nominee, a mover and a seconder. There will be no nominations from the floor of the meeting. Nomination forms will be available at church on the coming Sundays.

The constitution of the Community Church also allows for up to two members to be co-opted on to the Parish Council.

Please prayerfully consider who we need to work with a new minister, as we embark on this new venture together, and whether you wish to nominate anyone for these positions.
